Job Description

 Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.  Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.  Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.  Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.  Research and build relationships with new clients  Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.  Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.  Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by all the team members reporting.  Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.  Work with marketing staff to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner.  Present business development training and mentoring to business developers and other internal staff  Understand the company’s goal and purpose so that will continual to enhance the company’s performance  Plan approaches and pitches. Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.  Participate in pricing the solution/service  Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support  Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers  Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople. BACKGROUND OF THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER  Proficiency in English, Market knowledge, Communication and negotiation skills, Ability to build rapport, Time management and planning skills for team n self.  Previous new business experience ideally from a company in the same or similar industry.  Proven track record of bring in new business and a natural ability to drive sales.  Must be self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.  Well organized with in Reporting all activities as per company norms  Take responsibility for behaving in a manner that supports the NIPL’s Culture and Values, and the Leadership and Management behaviors. PERSONAL SPECIFICATION  Qualifications ->ideally educated to Degree level. MBA Added advantage Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in relevant field  Knowledge -> 1. Present business development training and mentoring to business developers and other internal staff 2. Capacity and aptitude to undertake research and collate information as required by Company. 3. A knowledge of local and national Business markers and business support issues 4. Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate of team n Self  Skills & Experience -> 1. Varied – good interpersonal/communication skills 2. Experienced and confident in writing propositions/bids, creating presentations and writing external reports 3. Experience of pro-actively generating leads 4. An understanding of the sales process or experience within a sales or sales support role 5. Project Management experience 6. Should have the ability to all team members to confidence and work as a team. 7. Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets 8.
